Lets Play Sports

This is my attempt at making a card using a Magnolia sports image. Magnolia-licious Highlites is having a sports challenge and I though I would give it a try. I won this wonderful Tilda Tennis stamp a couple of weeks ago from Stamp And Create and I finally got the chance to ink it up. I used copics to color the image; although its a little dark I still like how the hair turned out. This is the third image I've ever colored using copics and as you can see I still need a lot of practice on which colors to blend. The ribbon comes from Crafty Ribbons, I won it in their weekly Friday Freebie draw about 2 weeks ago. Their ribbon and buttons are simply lovely and I do suggest that you check them out.  I used the Fiskars Jester border punch to make the sun in the corner, I think it adds a nice touch. Now, on to my card. I'm not one for long posts cause I'm extremely terrible at that.

Masculine Card and Freebie

Hey there peeps, its been a little over 2 weeks since my last post, time sure does fly. Wish I had more time one my hands to post more often.
So I sat down yesterday to make a masculine birthday card. I think it turned out OK. The colors I chose makes it look a little Christmas-y but that was so not my intentions. The image comes from the lovely Anne Fenton. She is super talented and has a freebie on her blog every Thursday, I love her work and her images are adorable. You should definitely check her work out. The sketch come from Priscilla Styles. They have a sketch challenge going on right now and since I'm just oh so terrible with sketches I decide to try out that one.
I colored the image using the copics that Audrey sent me. I love working with them cause its a real treat compared to pencil crayons. I looked through the sentiment folder in my computer to see if I had a sentiment that would fit to this card and when I didn't find one I got the weird idea of making one. I looked through Google images to see if I could find a circle flame and race car. I used photo shop to edit the two together and added a sentiment in the middle. I think it turned out great. If any of you would like to have it to use on your card the help yourself to it at the bottom of this post.

Birthday card and Exciting giveaway

Happy Birthday to me!!! Well I just had to say it. I am now officially 25 years old and about time too. Time sure does fly.
So I got to making some cards in the last couple of days and on e just so happens to be a Birthday card that I made for my mother. She absolutely loved it and so did I. The turn-out was wonderful. I especially love the color combo and design. The color combination idea comes from Nancy's card over at CropStop Challenge Blog. They are celebrating National Scrapbook Day with a challenge and we are supposed to lift of the the DT's cards. I chose Nancy's card because of the butterflies and colors. I've seen some 3D butterflies on some creations before so I decided that I definitely have to try it out and see how it looks. I love it. The paper comes from "Bearly Mine Designs". Donna has some freebies ever once in a while and I absolutely love her work and papers. I used the photo shot to change the color of the paper to match my image and what a perfect match it is. Anyways, here is my card... and thanks everyone for all your lovely comments. I love hearing what you think of my cards.
