Thankful Thursday

A bit late posting this card but I finally had time to sit down and make one. This is a simple style that I discovered a while ago. The butterfly image is a stamp that I won in a blog candy from Denise. At first I had no idea how I would ever use the stamp but its just wonderful and I bet that it would look awesome heat embossed. I should give it a go, you'll never know till you try it. The punched edge on the black paper was punched using the "Sunburst" punch from Fiskars. Diana over at DL.ART has Thankful Thursday challenges every Thursday and one just so happens to be "Use Yellow and a butterfly" Though this card would be perfect so decided to make one just perfect for that challenge. So anyway here is my card.I would like to enter this card into the current challenges:
  1. DL.ART - Yellow with Butterfly
  2. Divas By Design - Bling (black pearls)
  3. Truly Scrumptious - All Creatures Great And Small
  4. The Paper Shelter - Sentiment
  5. Penny's Paper Crafty Challenges - Anything Goes
  6. Cooking It Up With Katie - 3 Favorite Things (Ribbon, Bling, Border Punches)
  7. PanPastel UK Challenge Blog - Animals

Liebster Award

The lovely Sue over at Sue's Craft Haven has just nominated me for the Liebster award. Thank you so much dear it means a lot to me to be picked out of the many blog s in blog land.

The Liebster Blog Award is meant for the blogs in Blog Land that have 200 or less followers. This is such a wonderful idea cause that way people won't feel left out especially if they happen to be nominated for it. As part of the tradition the award is passed along to five other blogs that have motivated and inspired me. It comes from the German meaning dearest or beloved but can also mean favorite. To accept the award you must:

1. Link back to the person's blog who gave it to you and thank them.
2. Post the award to your blog
3. Give the award to 5 bloggers (less than 200 followers) that you appreciate and value
4. Leave a comment on the five blogs you chose to let them know

Anyway here are the 5 blogs that I would like to nominate for the award. These women have given me such wonderful ideas and some of them are special friends of mine who help me out in times of need.

1. Regena - Butterflies And Flowers
2. Divinity - Scrap 'n Patch
3. Jessica - ~Bits And Pieces~
4. Claudia - Claudias' Creations
5. Karla - Mias Creations

Ladies please except this award as a token of my appreciation. Thanks for all the comments, inspiration and for being such good friends. Please pass it on and keep the love moving. And thanks again Sue, it really means a lot to me that you chose me. Hugs everyone.

Lookie What I got... Thanks Audrey

Take a look at what I got in the mail yesterday morning. I won blog candy from Audrey about 3 weeks ago and it finally arrived yesterday. I've been sitting on pins and needles for the past 2 weeks waiting for them to arrive. She also added the pkg of flowers. So sweet of her.
Thank you so much Audrey. I will have so much fun playing with these. Now that I have enough colors to blend with I can learn how to color with them.

Linky Followers....

There is news going around that as of March 1, Google is removing support for the Google friend connect follower tool. I don't quite understand it completely but as I hear Google Friend Connect is being discontinued for the NON-Blogger blogs like Wordpress, etc. So many people have been turning to another service called Linky Followers. It supposed to be for anyone weather you have a Wordpress, Typepad or NO blog at should be able to follow anyone.
I've signed up for Linky Followers, you can find it in my sidebar if you want to follow me that way. But I have a question for anyone who can help me. Will Blogger still have the Google Friends Connect feature? Will we loose the follower list we do have (for those who have blogs)? I haven't read up on it that much so I don't quite understand it. Can anyone help?

Another House Mouse card... with Freebie

These House Mouse images are so cute that I can't resist making cards with them. Took a while to decide what colors I would use for this one cause I had my mind set on purple. I glad I chose pink instead because it works better with black. So I decided to make another sentiment. I have to make a card for my husband for Valentine's day I need the perfect sentiment. I think it turned out nicely. If you would like to use it then go ahead and grab it at the bottom of this post. Just click on it then save it to your computer.
I got the cute heart charm from Natalie over at My Creativity LIFE! Now if your looking for some inspiration I suggest that you head over that way cause both her blog and work is wonderful.
The papers come from the Dollarama store here in Canada. I don't believe that there is a better dollar store in the word then that one, one of the main reasons is that it has a huge collection of Scrapbook supplies. I do most of my shopping there when it comes to embellishments, glue tapes and design papers.
There's not much more to say, so here's my card...I would like to enter this card into the current challenges:
  1. House Mouse Challenge Blog Hop - Love theme with more then 1 heart
  2. Simon Says Stamp - Love is in the air

2nd Post For Today....Eeek

Well I just had to give it a go. I've never posted 2 posts on my blog in 1 day so this is a huge accomplishment for me. I'm still a little excited about the House Mouse images and I decided to make yet another card. This one isn't close to as fancy as the last one but its good enough. I decided to try out the sketch challenge over at the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge Blog. I didn't really know where to start and because my card is quite small the mulberry roses I have seemed to fill up too much space so I decided to go with punched hearts instead. The iamge was colored by Copics. Its a little plain but good enough. Plan to mail this one to a friend of mine, she loves getting surprise cards in the mail, If I can manage to keep it a secret for that long. Anyway here's my card....I'm entering this card into the current challenges:
  1. House Mouse Blog Hop Challenge - Love themed with more then 1 heart

No Card For A Change....And A Giveaway

So I decide that I would give it a go to create something totally new that I've never tried before. This is my first time ever entering a Joan's Gardens Challenge. The challenge for this week was to make a little gift pouch for a Hershey's chocolate bar which I found pretty cool, I only had the cookies and cream bar but that worked fine because they are both the same size and plus I love the Cookies And Cream bar much more, yummm! I have a friend who loves chocolate so this will be the perfect gift idea. I followed the instructions from Selma's Blog and I really like how it turned out. Its a little plain but nice.
I would like to enter this into the current challenges:
  1. Joan's Garden's Challenge Blog - Challenge #4
  2. Really Reasonable Ribbon - Red, Pink and ribbon theme
  3. The Cutie Pie Challenge Blog - Anything But A Card
  4. My Craft Spot - Valentine's Day

So before I head off I would like to tell you all about Naomi's giveaway over at Paper Bag Princess. She is having a huge giveaway to celebrate her 1st Blogaversary and reaching 100+ followers. Here are some pics to show you what she's giving away and plus there is a huge list not included here. You all have to go there and check it out. Giveaway ends Feb 29 so scoot on over there and don't miss out.

My first Valentine's Day Card with Freebie

I'm on a roll... took the time to make another card today. This here is my first ever House Mouse card and I absolutely love how it turned out. I looked everywhere online that I could think of that has free sentiments and I didn't find one single Valentine's Day sentiment. So I took the time to make my own. It took some time and it might not be as beautiful as the professional sentiments that some ladies make but it works for me. If any of you want it you can grab the image below.
I created the design as I worked on the card. The little doily in the top left and corner is actually part of a heart doily that I won on Stacie's wonderful blog. You should check it out, its really cool. The patterned paper comes from Diana and the flowers come from the wonderful Jacque. All of these women are wonderful and very talented crafters and if you haven't yet then you should check out their blogs, I have to say that I get a lot of inspiration from then when my mojo just up and disappears. So do you want to see my card already...well here it is.

And here is the sentiment I was talking about. Ya, I know its a little different but feel free to use it if you want to.
