House Mouse Again....

Thought I would take the time and make another House Mouse card. Once I start working with these sweet images there's no stopping, they're that adorable. My camera takes the most horrible pictures ever since my son dropped it. Its about time to get a new one already and hopefully I'll be able to afford one soon.
So, this here is my first time using twine. I love how it adds that extra special look. The embossing folder that I used is called the Elegance M-Bossabilities Folder and it comes from Spellbinders, I only have 4 embossing folders and this one is my absolute favorite. I inked it up to give it a distressed look but unfortunately it didn't turn out to well. The Cuttlebug Spot is having a "Create a Banner" challenge and I thought it would look really cute if I added a little stocking banner to my card. I cut them out of Metallic paper that I bought from the Dollarama a few years back and added a bit of cotton to make them look like real stockings. I think they look really cute. The ribbon comes from the Crop Stop Store.

I would like to enter my card into the current challenges:

Let It Snow...

Hi all, its been a while. I sat down yesterday and tried to come up with a design for a card. I have to say that I'm a little disappointing at how it turned out. When it comes to cards I'm more for the elegant cards rather then the clean and simple. I think the ribbon with the flower looks nice though. House Mouse Challenge Blog is having a Let it Snow challenge so that it why I chose to use a House mouse image for this card. I like their challenges and the little mouse stamps are so adorable. The ribbon comes from the Crop Stop Store and the sentiment comes from Marion82 over at When The Scrap Hits The Fun! The flower comes from Jennifer over at JLJ Designs Crafting Blog . I won a huge blog candy from her a few years back and I've been saving the flowers up till now, I'm sure you all know how it is with having one of those items/embellishments that you just can't allow yourself to use. I added some rhinestones on the house mouse image as berries on the bush and also on the sentiment as the berries on the ivy........does that even make sense? That is a definite tongue twister. Well enough with my jibber jabber, here is my card.

I would like to enter the card into the current challenges:

My first Christmas Card of the Year

Well I'm kinda off to an early start with Christmas cards. Usually I only make a few to send out but other then that I make a Christmas photo of the kids and send that out instead. Its much cheaper and plus all the relatives get to see an update. I've been busy making shirts for my son and boy oh boy am I enjoying it. The material is so adorable and they look so cute on him.  Its nice to have a break though cause when something goes wrong it can get frustrating.
So anyway the card that I made is my most frequent used style and the one I'm known most for. The background paper comes from online somewhere. I like printing background papers instead of using designer papers. The ribbon comes from the walmart, the punch I used is a Fiskars Sunburst Border Punch and the rhinestones come from one of the local Dollarama's. The plain green sheet is actually a metallic sheet that also comes from the Dollarama.  However, they haven't been carrying it for 2 years now and they haven't gotten it back since. I'm so glad I stacked up on the stuff. So anyways, here is my card...
I would like to enter this card into the current challenges:
  1. Simon Says Stamp - Anything Goes
  2. Stampin Sisters In Christ - Make A Christmas Card (Last Challenge)

What I've been busy Sewing...

I mentioned in a post yesterday that I've been busy sewing. Today I'm here to show you one of those things. My mom asked me to make her a couple pairs of Robeez. They are pretty easy to make providing you have a good machine that can sew leather very well. And the thinner the leather the easier it is too. I've made a few pairs and the one I'm showing you today is the latest pair I made. The picture on top is supposed to be 2 cherries. Robeez make good christmas presents for babies and young toddlers depending on their age.

I would like to enter this project into the current challenges: (if sewn projects are allowed though)
  1. Tuesday Alchemy - Anything But A Card
  2. Paper Pretties Monday Challenge - Anything But A Card
  3. Nutcrackers Challenge #31 - A Christmas Present

3rd Post Today

When I sat down to make a card yesterday, I ended up making 2. The second one is a birthday card for a boy. I'm not very good at making Masculine cards cause they are always too plain for my liking. Simon Says Stamp has a new challenge themed Dawny's Sketch. I absolutely love it and just had to try it out. The image is from a stamp set that I won in a blog candy, not sure what its called though. The circle sentiment is from Kates-Krafty-Korner. She has a wonderful selection of Free Sentiment so head on over there and check them out and don't forget to leave her some love.  There are 2 ribbons one on top of the other. The top one is another one of those beautiful sheer ribbons from the Crop Stop Store. The silvery-blue paper on the bottom was in a paper pack that I won in a blog candy a little over a year ago and yesterday I decide that I had to open it come what may. It adds a beautiful look to this card.

Feather's......

Hi there fellow bloggers. Its been a while since I posted my last card so I decided to sit down today and make a few. I've been busy sewing the past couple of weeks so I haven't had much time on my hands to do anything else. I found a couple challenges across blog land that I just had to take time and enter. One of them was definitely new to me. Feather's. I've honestly never put any feathers on any LO's or Cards so I decided I had to try it. I love how it turned out.  I bought the sheer ribbon online from the Crop Stop store a little over 1/2 a year ago. Up till now I was thinking that I had to keep it cause its so beautiful but now I decided that it would look so beautiful on cards, so glad I used it. I thought their ribbons had wonderful prices and I look forward to buying from them in the future. The punch is one of my favorites in my stash and its a Limited Edition Fiskars Border Punch. The embossing folder I used is called the Elegance M-Bossabilities Folder and the stamp along the bottom of the page is from a set that Kim over at "Its All About Crafting" sent me after I was one of the lucky winners of her wonderful blog candy, "Thanks Kim". The sentiment is a freebie from over that the Word Art Challenge Blog.
Here is my card...

I would  like to enter this card into the current challenges:
  1. Word Art Wednesdays - Anything Goes
  2. The Cuttlebug Spot - Feathers

I Got Happy Mail

I won a couple of candy a while back and boy was I excited when they showed up in our mail. First, I was the winner of Camilla's October Blog candy on Nov 1 and I love the wonderful assortment of goodies she sent me. Thanks Camilla.

The second candy that arrived in the mail for me was from the wonderful Jacque over at Jacque's Joie de Vivre. She sent the most beautiful selection of Flowers and sheer ribbon. I've seen quite a few flower types since I started making cards using the Magnolia stamps but none have been as beautiful as these. Love them Jacque. Thank so much.

I'm On A Roll Lately...

Its so much fun to put up posts but I have to admit... it is time consuming. That's probably the main reason why I don't do it every day. Having 2 kids and finding the time during the day to do it is pretty hard.
Anyway, so I sat down yesterday and made another card to enter into some wonderful challenges I found. Pamela over at Pamela's World of Scrap made 5 sketches that we could choose from to make a card and enter it into her great challenge. I love all of her sketches but the one I chose definitely stood out from all the rest. Here it is.
The Cuttlebug Spot is having a "What's On Your Desk Tuesday" Challenge. So I collected a bunch of supplies that were lying around on my desk and I made a card out of them.
I also found a great challenge over at J&C Creations. They are having a friendship challenge and I couldn't resist when I saw it. I decided that I had to make a card for a friend that is getting married and I don't want us to grow apart but remain close friends. I know that we might not see each other as much as we used too but that shouldn't come between us. Here is the card I made

I attached the Thank You sentiment with some Zots, Clear Adhesive dots that you can find at Joan's Gardens. One of my best friends is getting married in just about 1 and a half weeks and I decided that I had to make her a special wedding card. And of course what a better way to do it then by using one of the sweet Magnolia stamp. I love those stamps and so does my friend. Since its not a strong suet of mine to make an all white card I decided to use one other color with it and I chose Red. I love how the card turned out and I sure hope she did too. Embroidering. Another one of my hobbies. It takes a huge amount of time to make a baby quilt but I love it. This here is one I made with a German verse on it. It takes about 24 hours to embroider a pattern depending on what size it is. Nana over at My Crafting Channel is having a Fabric Challenge and I'm going to enter this quilt. The theme is Red white and one other color. Well that other color appears to be Green. Here is my quilt. Thanks for all your lovely comments. I really appreciate every single one of them.

Finally Found Some Time To Craft....

Boy has it been a busy past couple of weeks. From garden work to taking care of the kids, cooking and cleaning and plus with the thought of moving on my mind its hard to get in some crafting. Well today I finally found the time. I've made a couple of cards in the past where I used pastel colors and I just love the turnout every time. Cropstop's current challenge is all about kites this week and I just had to enter. As soon as I saw the word kites I thought of a cool idea and I thought I would give it a go and see if it would work out and I'm quite happy to say that it did.  I added bling and ribbon to add some nice touches. All in all it isn't the best card I have ever made but its nice anyways.
DL.Art is having a blog hop to celebrate Diana's birthday so I figured it would be neat to make this a birthday card to enter into that challenge as well. Hope you have a wonderful Birthday Diana. Hugs.

***Handmade Bags - By Me***

Its sure has been  long time since I've put up a post. I have here something special to show you all today. I know I've never mentioned anything of the sort but I LOVE sewing. I do it for a living and I enjoy every moment of it.
A couple of weeks ago I sat down and tried making a cute little going away bag. I succeeded and I loved the results so much that I made 3 more. They are easy to make and it takes me from 8:30am to about 3:00pm to make one and that also includes taking care of my kids at the same time. I had a friend of mine embroider the horse and horse shoes onto the bag with her Embroidery machine. Boy those machines are awesome, sure wish I could afford one.
I found this wonderful Fabric Challenge over at My Crafting Channel. I've been looking for a fabric challenge for a long time now with no success and finally I found one. Boy was I happy. I can finally enter my bag into a challenge and that was super news.
Another wonderful challenge that I discovered was one of Diana's challenges over at DL.ART. Her challenge was to post a favorite project from the moth of June. Well this is definitely one of them. Thank Diana for the wonderful challenge
So anyways, enough with my chatter. Here s the bag...

 ***Right Angle***

 ***Back***
***Top Flap***
***Left Pocket***
 ***Front Pocket***

I would like to enter this bag into the current challenge

Lets Play Sports

This is my attempt at making a card using a Magnolia sports image. Magnolia-licious Highlites is having a sports challenge and I though I would give it a try. I won this wonderful Tilda Tennis stamp a couple of weeks ago from Stamp And Create and I finally got the chance to ink it up. I used copics to color the image; although its a little dark I still like how the hair turned out. This is the third image I've ever colored using copics and as you can see I still need a lot of practice on which colors to blend. The ribbon comes from Crafty Ribbons, I won it in their weekly Friday Freebie draw about 2 weeks ago. Their ribbon and buttons are simply lovely and I do suggest that you check them out.  I used the Fiskars Jester border punch to make the sun in the corner, I think it adds a nice touch. Now, on to my card. I'm not one for long posts cause I'm extremely terrible at that.

I would like to enter this card into the current challenges:
