Birthday Card

Hope you all had a wonderful Easter holiday. I finally found a little time to do some card making, but then again I had no choice cause today is my SIL's birthday and I had to make her a card. I decided to use a sketch from the Bearly Mine Challenge blog. Had some trouble coming up with how to decorate it and I do think its a little plain. The rose image comes from a stamp that I borrowed from a friend and I used Copics B00, B02 and B05 to color it. 

The ribbon comes from the Crop Stop Store and the Butterfly border punch I used is Fiskars. I decided to use my new butterfly EK Success layering punch as I was inspired by the butterfly on Brenda's blog banner. She is having an amazing giveaway over on her blog and I just had to enter. Easter Card

It’s been way too long since I posted my last card. I've been very busy in the past month and a half making baptism card for friends. I had to make about 130 or so; so I haven't taken any time to post anything. I finally found time to make some Easter cards that a friend ordered and although they are my usual style I still like how they turned out. This one here happens to be my favorite. I love the colors and the design is a favorite of all the ones I have.

I'm Back...

Its been a while since I've posted a card on my blog. I spent 9 days visiting my mom and catching up on some sewing and just got back Friday night. My kids got the flu while we were there and I'm so glad that its finally over. All they did while they had it was sleep and want to be held. 

I made a card before I left and I want to show it to you all now. I absolutely love how it turned out. Its my first ever all white card and although it was a bit of a challenge I loved making it. The flowers come from Jacque over at Jacque's Joie de Vivre. She sent me the most beautiful flowers and I'm so looking forward to trying them all. The embossing folder I used is a Spellbinder M-Bossabilities folder called Garden Delight. I won the lace in a blog candy but I'm not sure where and the ribbon comes from the Walmart. The 'Congratulations' stamp comes from a Simon Says Stamp Card Kit called "You can do anything."

House Mouse Again....

Thought I would take the time and make another House Mouse card. Once I start working with these sweet images there's no stopping, they're that adorable. My camera takes the most horrible pictures ever since my son dropped it. Its about time to get a new one already and hopefully I'll be able to afford one soon. 

So, this here is my first time using twine. I love how it adds that extra special look. The embossing folder that I used is called the Elegance M-Bossabilities Folder and it comes from Spellbinders, I only have 4 embossing folders and this one is my absolute favorite. I inked it up to give it a distressed look but unfortunately it didn't turn out to well. The Cuttlebug Spot is having a "Create a Banner" challenge and I thought it would look really cute if I added a little stocking banner to my card. I cut them out of Metallic paper that I bought from the Dollarama a few years back and added a bit of cotton to make them look like real stockings. I think they look really cute. The ribbon comes from the Crop Stop Store.

Let It Snow...

Hi all, its been a while. I sat down yesterday and tried to come up with a design for a card. I have to say that I'm a little disappointing at how it turned out. When it comes to cards I'm more for the elegant cards rather then the clean and simple. I think the ribbon with the flower looks nice though. House Mouse Challenge Blog is having a Let it Snow challenge so that it why I chose to use a House mouse image for this card. I like their challenges and the little mouse stamps are so adorable. The ribbon comes from the Crop Stop Store and the sentiment comes from Marion82 over at When The Scrap Hits The Fun! The flower comes from Jennifer over at JLJ Designs Crafting Blog . I won a huge blog candy from her a few years back and I've been saving the flowers up till now, I'm sure you all know how it is with having one of those items/embellishments that you just can't allow yourself to use. I added some rhinestones on the house mouse image as berries on the bush and also on the sentiment as the berries on the ivy........does that even make sense? That is a definite tongue twister. Well enough with my jibber jabber, here is my card.

My first Christmas Card of the Year

Well I'm kinda off to an early start with Christmas cards. Usually I only make a few to send out but other then that I make a Christmas photo of the kids and send that out instead. Its much cheaper and plus all the relatives get to see an update. I've been busy making shirts for my son and boy oh boy am I enjoying it. The material is so adorable and they look so cute on him.  Its nice to have a break though cause when something goes wrong it can get frustrating.

So anyway the card that I made is my most frequent used style and the one I'm known most for. The background paper comes from online somewhere. I like printing background papers instead of using designer papers. The ribbon comes from the walmart, the punch I used is a Fiskars Sunburst Border Punch and the rhinestones come from one of the local Dollarama's. The plain green sheet is actually a metallic sheet that also comes from the Dollarama.  However, they haven't been carrying it for 2 years now and they haven't gotten it back since. I'm so glad I stacked up on the stuff. So anyways, here is my card...

What I've been busy Sewing...

I mentioned in a post yesterday that I've been busy sewing. Today I'm here to show you one of those things. My mom asked me to make her a couple pairs of Robeez. They are pretty easy to make providing you have a good machine that can sew leather very well. And the thinner the leather the easier it is too. I've made a few pairs and the one I'm showing you today is the latest pair I made. The picture on top is supposed to be 2 cherries. Robeez make good christmas presents for babies and young toddlers depending on their age.

3rd Post Today

When I sat down to make a card yesterday, I ended up making 2. The second one is a birthday card for a boy. I'm not very good at making Masculine cards cause they are always too plain for my liking. Simon Says Stamp has a new challenge themed Dawny's Sketch. I absolutely love it and just had to try it out. The image is from a stamp set that I won in a blog candy, not sure what its called though. The circle sentiment is from Kates-Krafty-Korner. She has a wonderful selection of Free Sentiment so head on over there and check them out and don't forget to leave her some love.  There are 2 ribbons one on top of the other. The top one is another one of those beautiful sheer ribbons from the Crop Stop Store. The silvery-blue paper on the bottom was in a paper pack that I won in a blog candy a little over a year ago and yesterday I decide that I had to open it come what may. It adds a beautiful look to this card.

Feather's......

Hi there fellow bloggers. Its been a while since I posted my last card so I decided to sit down today and make a few. I've been busy sewing the past couple of weeks so I haven't had much time on my hands to do anything else. I found a couple challenges across blog land that I just had to take time and enter. One of them was definitely new to me. Feather's. I've honestly never put any feathers on any LO's or Cards so I decided I had to try it. I love how it turned out.  I bought the sheer ribbon online from the Crop Stop store a little over 1/2 a year ago. Up till now I was thinking that I had to keep it cause its so beautiful but now I decided that it would look so beautiful on cards, so glad I used it. I thought their ribbons had wonderful prices and I look forward to buying from them in the future. The punch is one of my favorites in my stash and its a Limited Edition Fiskars Border Punch. The embossing folder I used is called the Elegance M-Bossabilities Folder and the stamp along the bottom of the page is from a set that Kim over at "Its All About Crafting" sent me after I was one of the lucky winners of her wonderful blog candy, "Thanks Kim". The sentiment is a freebie from over that the Word Art Challenge Blog.
